For the Dior FW/23 digital experience, we translated the season’s sculptural silhouettes into a 2D motion language defined by precision, restraint, and fluidity. The animations extend the collection’s narrative into the digital space, creating moments of quiet impact and refined tension. The web design builds on a minimal typographic system and a cinematic layout, allowing the visual identity of the collection to unfold through motion, rhythm, and negative space.
The behind-the-scenes phases of the Dior FW/23 project were defined by structured experimentation. We built a temporary motion lab in the studio to capture fabric movements using simple light setups and high-speed video. A random test using a silk scrap from a previous shoot produced an unexpected shadow contour, which later informed the negative-space transitions in the website.
Throughout the process, each animation was refined through layered iterations—first as rough timing blocks, then as precise vector sequences aligned to our typographic grid. The final result reflects a careful balance of intuition, technical refinement, and the understated elegance Dior is known for.
